The company was established in 2003 and is based in Cyprus. It operates in the field of human tissue and cell banking offering its services in Cyprus, Greece and the Middle East area.
Lifebank operates under the directive 2004/23/EC of the European Parliament on setting standards of quality and safety for the cryopreservation of human tissues and cells. Our facilities and laboratory equipment along with the procedures followed for the collection, processing and cryopreservation of human tissues and cells are based on the requirements of European organizations setting standards in the field like, EUROCORD and NETCORD.
Lifebank is license by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Cyprus to operate as a tissue and cell storage and supply establishment based on legislation number 187(I) of 2007 of the Cyprus Parliament with registration number 5.4.03.2.1. In addition the company has been awarded with the international standard of quality ISO9001:2008 for all the procedures relating to the donation, procurement, testing, processing, preservation, storage and distribution of human tissues and cells with certificate number QS1.09.042.
